Empresa General Valenciana del Agua S.A. (EGEVASA or General Valencian Water Company) was founded in 1988 by the Excelentísima Diputación Provincial de Valencia (Provincial Valencian Government) to solve the Hydrological Cycle problems suffered by some municipalities in the province of Valencia. In 2001, Aguas de Valencia came in to participate in the capital and management of the company.

The company’s main activity is concerned with Managing the services of water supply, sewage and treatment.
